5 Benefits of Keto That Have Zero to Do With Weight Loss

The ketogenic way of eating is popular because it works when looking to drop weight fast, I totally get that. Hey! I’ve been there! BUT there are so many other reasons why the popularity is growing and they have nothing to do with weight loss, but instead, overall health and lifestyle.

In the latest video I discuss my top 5 favorite benefits of the ketogenic lifestyle and they have zero to do with weight loss. In no particular order I discuss my desire to prevent heart disease and cancer, to improve cognitive function, reduce inflammation, and more.

Can you maintain weight loss after a ketogenic diet?

Whenever we start a new diet we’re told the same thing by people, “Once you stop you’ll gain all the weight back!” I’m sure it’s true for most diets and most people, but I’ve experienced something different with the keto way of eating!

Due to crazy summer life, amped up time at work, two productions, and just lack of planning, I’ve been off my keto way of eating for a few months. Guess what? I have not gained ANY of it back! How in the world does that happen? I contribute it to a few things:

  1. Keto helped me learn to make better choices
  2. I drink keto kreme with my coffee for breakfast each day
  3. A slight increase in physical activity
  4. Including ketones in my day, keeping me fuller longer
  5. My cravings have significantly changed.

Now that it’s fall and my life is coming together again I’m going to get back to my way of eating. Why? Because I feel absolutely GREAT when eating keto and feel absolutely HORRIBLE when I’m not. Want to join me? Comment below if you’re ready to dive into a healthier fall!

Nutty in All The Right Ways

I have to share the exciting news with you! Nutty Ketoman Kreme is back for a limited time and I don’t want you to miss it. For the majority of my adult life now I start my day with a coffee, as most people do right? Well for the past 8 months or so I’ve removed all cream and sugar from my coffee and instead add a packet (sometimes 1/2 a packet) of Kreme instead. Why? ↓

So yeah, it has DNA repair, reduces joint pain and inflammation, strengthens hair & nails, and so many other things. BUT what does it taste like? I think the Nutty Ketoman tastes like an Italian Praline Cookie, basically an Italian pastry, a Christmas cookie, etc. And what Jersey girl wouldn’t love that right?

How to Make It:

Personally, I mix mine in a shaker bottle with hot black coffee. But you can also mix it with iced coffee, or blend ice & milk of your choice with it for a yummy dessert!

My Reboot Story

In January I started ketones and in March I did my first ever Keto Reboot! My transformation picture below is actually old now. I’ve personally lost over 30lbs. While I’m not trying to lose major weight anymore I am trying to stick to good habits and stay healthy, not go back to my old way of eating and thinking about overall health.

The Keto Reboots have done a few things for me:
1. Taught me about my relationship with food (MAJOR)
2. Removed Cravings
3. Broken Plateaus
4. Taught me about my own self disciple and control
5. Burned stored fat
6. Improved my skin (both breakouts & elasticity)
7. Shown me my strengths & weaknesses
8. Removed inflammation
9. Healed my digestive system
10. Gave me the confidence to charge after my goals

So I guess that’s more than a few, but you can see why I’m so passionate about not only ketones, but these monthly reboots!

The Reboot is done as a community. We grab the kits while available (JULY 5, TODAY, IS THE LAST DAY) and then all start together the night of the 15th.
