How to Stay Keto at a BBQ Party

I love summer! I really do. It’s my fave season, until Fall comes around and then I’m happy to put on my boots, a sweater, and grab a pumpkin flavored coffee while walking through Harvest Festivals.

What do I love about summer? It’s social! I love being around people and I love the the parties & the BBQs, but how do we stick to our keto-ish lifestyle at these things? It’s actually super easy, and we (I) tend to overthink it.

This weekend I attended a BBQ and decided to shoot a short video of the food that was there and some tips to help us all stay successful as we strive to crush our goals and live out our purpose.

 

Some things to stick with: All the meat! Guacamole, veggies & dip, berries, meet and cheese board, olives, stuffed jalapeños, salad, sugar free toppings & sauces. Sparkling water. Grilled veggies.

Some things to steer clear of: Corn on the cob! Buns, macaroni salad, potato salad, chips, soda (!!!!!), beer, melons, sugary ice pops.
