3 Tips for Starting ANY Diet

The worst part of any diet? The beginning! Getting started can be the most difficult part. Whether you’re starting keto, paleo, whole 30, or coming back to a familiar way of eating, there are some standards that can help you break into the routine.

In the video above I share my three go to tips and I also share a little bit of my story as to where I’ve been and why my uploads were down over the past handful of months.

What I Eat In a Day (Smashburger)

I get asked the question all the time, “Ok low carb, but like, then what do you eat all day?” What do I eat all day? Delicious food! That’s what!

For real though, it’s not hard to stay within the Macro allotment for a ketogenic or low carb diet. The way I usually track isn’t strict keto. I do more lazy keto, low carb. You can see how I track my Macros here.

So every now and then I spend a day filming what I eat. Everything. If i have a snack, it’s in there. If I drink something other than water, I include it. This particular day I had an extremely late dinner which forced me to visit Smashburger for some takeout. But even then, I found a keto-friendly option!

Keto Pancake Recipe

There is nothing I miss more when doing a strict ketogenic diet than pancakes. Its’ weird because normally I’m not a huge pancake person but I can’t have them and I sit at the diner with my kids, there is something about the way the butter and syrup run down the edges of the pancake. I seriously crave it.

I was determined to figure out how to make delicious keto pancakes so that I could stay in ketosis but still satisfy this major new craving I had. I tried a few different recipes and they were either too thin or too eggy.

BUT! Alas!

I figured it out! This is the way to my heart on a Saturday morning with a cup of coffee. This recipe is easy, quick, and is so good that even my kiddies love it!

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 4oz Cream Cheese, room temp
  • 1/2 C Almond Flour
  • 1 TSP Vanilla
  • 1 TSP Baking Powder
  • Salt, dash or pinch, whatever you prefer*

Mix all ingredients together while preheating your greased griddle or skillet to high heat.

Let sit for 2 minutes to thicken.

Make pancakes, flipping when top side is bubbling.

Serve with butter & zero carb syrup if desired.

90 Second Keto Bread?

Have you ever heard of making keto bread in 90 seconds? I was skimming through Pinterest and I found a beautiful picture with a heading that said 90 Second Keto Bread.

I immediately clicked the post to open it and peruse the instructions. Seemed easy enough so I decided to try it. Not only did I attempt to make this recipe but I recorded the whole thing for you guys to watch and decide for yourselves if you want to make the same attempt.
